Y first thoughts on a "Doll's House" is it is a very interesting play. Nora the main character is the wife of Torvald Helmer....a bank manager. She makes herself seem like she is not all that smart, but in reality she has a very sharp mind. She is constantly thinking about her family and how she can avoid trouble. She runs in a little bit of trouble with Krogstad a lawyer who is trying to create trouble for he because her husband had let him go. He brings up her forgering her signature on the note which stated she would pay back the money Krogstad
had loaned her in order to finance the trip abroad to Italy to save her sick husbands life. Now Krogstad wants her to get his job back at the bank, but the problem is another character Mrs. Linde is looking to take that position. Now in order to get that position Krogstad is blackmailing Nora. Nora is my favorite character so far in the play. She is funny and kind of ditzy at time, but she seems like a strong woman who would do anything to keep her family together.
